Living between forest and gardens.
This plot from 1624 forms a strip of land between gardens with old trees and the forest above the Felsenaustrasse. The three houses are designed like huts in the forest, light constructions on pillars that allow the slope to flow, surrounded by trees.
The structures are clad with pre-greyed wood that blends into the environment. Access to the houses is via a winding path embedded in the landscape. The environment is planted in a natural way and forms a smooth transition between the gardens of the houses and the forest. There is no formal demarcation between forest and gardens.
